CYG Wins Multiple Awards at the Energy Electronics Industry Innovation Competition

Recently, at the final of the 2nd Energy Electronics Industry Innovation Competition, CYG Energy and Electric Power Research Institute (Guangdong) Co., Ltd.(CYG EERI) delivered outstanding performances across several categories, including intelligent micro-grids, new energy storage products, and key terminal applications. The institute won multiple awards, including second and third prizes as well as an excellence award, demonstrating its technological innovations and practical applications in the energy sector.

 

The competition, hosted by the Industrial Development Promotion Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, had the theme "Creating Smart Source Electronics, Building Dreams of Industrial Innovation." It called for submissions in areas such as solar photovoltaics, new energy storage products, critical information technology, and key terminal applications, aiming to fully stimulate innovation within the industry. The final event brought together numerous industry experts from the Industrial Development Promotion Center, the competition's expert committee, and representatives from the energy and power industry, all witnessing this innovation showcase.

 

Intelligent Micro-grid Field

 

In the intelligent micro-grid field, CYG EERI won the second prize for its project "Technological Innovation and Application of Intelligent Micro-grid for Park Energy Based on Photovoltaic-Storage-Charging Coordination." The project utilizes a linear optimization algorithm to optimize the energy storage control strategy, significantly improving the energy efficiency of the park and effectively reducing user electricity costs through coordinated optimization and dispatch management of both energy supply and demand sides.

 

New Energy Storage Products


In the new energy storage products category, CYG EERI won an excellence award for its "Battery Life Prediction Technology Based on Neural Networks." This technology employs BILSTM and hybrid optimization algorithms to construct a battery life prediction model, addressing the challenge of complex and missing data in energy storage battery predictions. By accurately forecasting battery lifespan, the technology provides strong support for optimizing operational decisions for users.

 

Key Terminal Applications

 

In the key terminal applications field, CYG EERI won the second prize of "Industrial Source-Grid-Load-Storage Smart Energy Management Solution". The solution integrates collaborative control technology, restructuring the energy balance model of sources, grids, and loads based on energy supply and load forecasting. It promotes the shift from traditional "source-driven" grid regulation to a more intelligent "source-grid-load-storage collaborative interaction" model, enhancing the level of energy management intelligence.


Field of Carbon Peaking & Carbon Neutrality

 

In the carbon reduction field, CYG EERI won the third prize for its "SaaS". This system uses IoT technology to monitor emissions sources in real-time and provides comprehensive carbon emissions monitoring and asset management services for high-emission enterprises through SaaS applications and private deployments. By implementing meticulous management, the system helps businesses fulfill carbon emission control responsibilities and promotes green supply chain management.

 

New Energy Storage Products


Additionally, in the new energy storage product category, CYG introduced the "AI-Based Big Data Energy Storage Station Operation and Maintenance System," which successfully reached the finals. This system uses comprehensive sensing, cloud-edge collaboration, health diagnostics, proactive maintenance, offline inspections, and multi-dimensional operations to cover all scenarios in energy storage operations and maintenance. It greatly improves the overall operational efficiency of energy storage stations and supports users' diversified economic operations.
